A Writer Builds A New World with Words

A writer is someone who spends years patiently trying to discover the second being inside him, and the world that makes him who he is: when I speak of writing, what comes first to my mind is not a novel, a poem, or literary tradition, it is a person who shuts himself up in a room, sits down at a table, and alone, turns inward; amid its shadows, he builds a new world with words.

I signed contract with Strand Publishers UK. Before signing the contract we agreed upon a date for publishing my book. Now the publisher has breached my trust at least three times. Since i didnt put the publishing date in the contract the editor Jane is delaying publishing for no apperant reason. I even offered to opt out of the contract but she doesnt agree to that also. Can anyone advise what rights i have.
